It all started when…

a spontaneous decision was made to leave Sydney for the wide-open spaces of Tasmania nearly 14 years ago. Growing up in Tasmania on a grazing property not too far from here the pull to move back became much stronger when two of our four children were born. Nick, who also grew up on a farming property in Moree, NSW was entirely on board when the opportunity to make the tree change came up. We wanted to give the children a similar country childhood that we were so fortunate to have.

There is something about Richmond Hill that is incredibly special. Never does a day go by that we don’t feel grateful for living in such a beautiful part of the world.

A few years ago we decided to open The Granary so that others could experience the secluded beauty and charm we live every day. These days we do not travel as much as we used to with children coming and going. As the caretakers of Richmond Hill and The Granary, we are thoroughly enjoying having travellers come to us.
