It’s wild, all-consuming, and magical all at the same time but sometimes a place like this comes with questions.

Questions like “is the wifi strong enough?” and is there a “supermarket nearby?” and to that, we say that we may be disconnected from the mainland but we definitely still have great wifi, amazing food, and convenience right on our doorstep. If you have any other questions about our location or accommodation hopefully we’ve answered them below - if not send us an email or give us a call, we’d be happy to answer them for you directly.

+ What is check in/check out time?

Check in is from 3pm and checkout is 10.30am. If you'd like an earlier check in or a later check out please don't hesistate to reach out and if we can accommodate your request we will always endeavor to.

+ Do I need to hire a car to stay at The Granary?

Our accommodation is a 20 minute drive from Launceston Airport and 2 hours from Hobart Airport. You can organise a cab or Uber to drop you to The Granary but for your own convenience we recommend hiring a car.

+ Where is the closest supermarket?

One of Tasmania’s most sought after Grocers is a mere 10min drive from The Granary. Browns IGA (Hill Street Grocer, 9 Wellington Street, Longford) offers customers an incredible selection of fresh, local produce.

+ Child policy

The Granary is not suitable for children under 12 years old and The Cottage is for adults only. We would be very happy to recommend some other beautiful accommodation options in the area for families with younger children.

+ Can I bring my pet with me?

Although we adore animals, dogs in particular. Pets are not permitted to stay in The Granary or The Cottage.

+ Can I get married at the Granary?

The Granary provides a beautiful location for intimate weddings and elopements (maximum of 10 guests). We have teamed up with Bek Burrows who can help you organise everything you need to create magical memories for your romantic getaway in Tasmania. + Do you host corporate functions?

The Granary grounds are available to hire for corporate events, please contact Fiona for further information.

+ Can I use The Granary grounds for a photo shoot?

The Granary has hosted many fashion and tourism shoots over the past few years for brands and influencers alike. If you're interested in organising a shoot here please contact Fiona for venue hire information.

+ Damage and Theft

If our property incurs any damage (malicious or accidental) or items are stolen, you will be deemed responsible and charged for the cost of replacement, repair and for any associated or potential loss of income we incur while repairs are being carried out.
