A little about me….
I’m not someone who naturally seeks the spotlight, but I understand how important it is to feel a connection with the people you invite into your creative process, especially when it comes to your home or garden.
At heart, I’m a country girl. Though I’ve lived in the city, it’s the rhythm of rural life and the beauty of nature that truly inspires me. I’m most content when I’m outdoors, bare hands in the soil, surrounded by birdsong and the changing light of the seasons. These moments not only bring me peace but also shape the way I see colour, texture, and atmosphere in the spaces I design.
Gardening and a deep connection to nature run through the women in my family. My maternal grandmother, Patricia was a pioneering landscape designer whose work and wisdom left a lasting mark on me. My paternal grandmother, Peggy shared with me a love of travel and a wonderful sense of style. Both taught me to notice beauty, to treasure detail, and to honour a sense of place.
I now live in Tasmania with my husband, who shares my passion for restoring old homes and gardens. Together, we’ve worked on several deeply personal projects, always with care, curiosity and a deep respect for the past. We have four children, three of whom have now finished school and are finding their own paths. This has allowed me the space and time to focus more fully on helping others create homes that feel deeply lived-in and loved.
Whether I’m styling a room, planning a garden, or restoring a forgotten corner of a home, my approach is always thoughtful, considered, and inspired by nature. I believe that great design doesn’t shout, it whispers. It invites you in and makes you feel at home.
